🐶 "Do Pets Sit Still for Grooming?"
Not always — and that’s okay! Most pets don’t naturally sit still during grooming, but that’s where our training and experience come in.
At Boop Snoots, we’re professionally trained and have years of hands-on experience working with animals of all temperaments. We use a variety of gentle techniques to help keep each pet calm, safe, and comfortable throughout the grooming process — always going at their pace.

Will you shave my double coated dog?
🚫 No, Shaving Double-Coated Dogs
At Boop Snoots, your pet’s health and well-being are our top priorities. We do not shave double-coated dogs, as it can lead to serious issues such as heatstroke, skin damage, and permanent coat changes.
Unless shaving is medically necessary and accompanied by a veterinarian’s note, we will not perform full-body shaves on double-coated breeds.
Instead, we offer safe alternatives to help maintain their coat and keep them comfortable:
-
✂️ Outline Trims to neaten the overall appearance
-
🧼 Sanitary Trims
-
🐾 Paw and Pad Trims
-
🐕 Spot shaving of matted areas, if needed
Common double-coated breeds include Huskies, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and many others.
Not sure what type of coat your dog has? Just ask — we're happy to help guide you!

How long does each groom take?
⏱️ Timing & Appointments
Every grooming session is tailored to the individual needs of each pet. While we aim to stay within the scheduled time frame, your pet’s comfort and well-being always come first.
We typically book back-to-back appointments throughout the day, and most grooming sessions take about 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes on average. However, we never rush — we go at your pet’s pace, ensuring a calm, safe, and stress-free experience from start to finish.
